Our biggest problem is composure on the pitch and discipline when marking….We lose the ball and concede too easily….We need to be faster and more efficient, to move the ball and not look at it.

Composure. Man marking. Making the ball do the work (also know as “passing”). Not ball watching. Moving faster (running off the ball). These are the fundamentals of football. Strangely, we haven’t been doing these things this season.

In this day and age, it is perhaps strange that it takes something like this — a strighforward analysis of the most basic elements of the game — to realize what we have been lacking: a real manager.

None of this talk of attacking, pretty football then. Back to basics. Good stuff.
