Transfer News Shocker: Papastathopoulos Out, Kyrgiakos In?!?!
The latest reports have Papastathopoulos, the 20 year old rising star, moving to Genoa (10th in Serie A). This is hardly surprising as he has been rumored to be moving to a bigger club for more than a year now. More surprising is the news that Kyrgiakos is set to be his replacement. Kygriakos is pure class, perhaps the best Greek center back today. He is tall, marks well, tackles hard, and scores goals as well. If these rumors are true, it will be a lot less upsetting to lose Papastathopoulos. Moreover, signing Kyrgiakos will prove a major coup for AEK as both Panathinaikos and the red team tried to sign him earlier this Summer.

I’ve herd that Demis has declined the supposed 3.5-million offer from the Genoa club.

PAO didn’t try to sign Kyrgiako. He still owes PAO 1.5 million and the new board refuses to bring him back until he repays PAO.

The Genoa moves seems almost set. Kyrgiakos would be great in my opinion.

Goal.com is also talking about Kyrgiakos and Katsouranis.
It would truly be amazing in my opinion if both of these transfers could work out.

I guess its official now, but still nothing has been released on AEK site, probably in August.
