AEK Transfer Rumor: Antonis Rikka

The latest rumor to emerge is that AEK is very close to signing Skoda Xanthi’s 22 year old defensive midfielder Antonis Rikka.

Rikka is an international with the Greek U-21 squad, was born in France and started his football career in Marseille’s junior team.

During the summer of 2006 he came to Greece to play for Skoda Xanthi, but during the 2006-07 season, he was sent on loan to Niki Volou (the team Papastathopoulos was on loan for), making 29 appearances.  Last year he came back to Xanthi and quickly found a place in the starting 11, finishing the season with 23 Super League appearances.

The cost of the transfer is said to be in the 500-600,000 euros range.
