It’s Finally Over

The torment that has been these post-season play-offs is finally over. Today we went out with a whimper, not a bang, but that’s not suprising given how things wrapped up this season. An AEK squad with several reserve players and a third string keeper ceded an early goal but then equalized for the draw. In the hearts and minds of AEK supporters everywhere though, we are the Champions on the field. The reds are the paper champions, and will forever see the title for this season printed with an asterick by it.

But I’m not going to hate. Nothing comes easy in this world. It’s the grit and determination we show in the face of difficulty that really shows what champtions are made of. Rivaldo is staying to fight. Blanco is staying. Edinhio is staying. Next season we will be back and we’re bringing the heat, the fire. The red’s money was barely enough this time; it won’t be enough for the fire next time.
