AEK 5-0 Panionios
All the drama of the past week could not put a damper on our play. We are in top form. And as all our fans knew, and now all of Greece knows, we are the real Champions.
Despite the EPO, regardless of Olympiaco’s money, forgetting how even the CAS would not put things right, we took to the field and showed Greece and the world that AEK is the best team in Greece. Period.
Bravo AEK!
I won’t get to watch the game until tonight, but I did receive several texts from Chris in Greece who was able to make it to the game. Among other things, he reported that Rivaldo could have had a hatrick but unselfishly passed to Kallon who scored the fifth goal (edit: I just finished watching the game and the last goal was scored by Kallon off an unselfish pass from Blanco, not Rivaldo, but Rivaldo was a class act nonetheless). I’ll be the first to admit that I have on occassion questioned Rivaldo’s loyalty to AEK, but the man proved himself a class act today. Edinhio had a goal and so did Blanco after a nice passing sequence. Several spontaneous chants were developed by the fans today, including one about how Oly and EPO were “together.”
I’ll post a full match analysis tonight or tomorrow if Alex doesn’t beat me to it.

Nah, Ill let you do the report when you get the chance, I got to see the game live but it is difficult to write reports without seeing the match on television and being able to see highlights.
Although I must say, Toszer played brilliantly constantly making long passes and crosses and taking some decent free kicks.
Rivaldo seemed extremely happy to be playing and scoring for AEK. After every goal scored he would hold up the emblem of the double headed eagle on his jersey for every one to see who his heart is with. RIBO!!
Lyberopoulos cam eout pretty early, it didnt seem to be his best game although Dellas’s form has returned and he played very well.
