Apollon Kalamarias 0-1 AEK
Look, it wasn’t our best match ever, but its late in the season, and, at this point, its results that matter, not pretty football.Edinho again, this time in the 56th minute. This guy has become so integral to our scoring efforts that I can barely remember how we played before we signed him in January. He’s also brought so spirit to the team, and today we saw a new goal celebration this time featuring fellow Portuguese countryman Alves. We lined like this:
Edinho—Blanco
Kallon————-Rivaldo
Zikos—Kafes
Bourbos————-Pilatsikas
Alves—Papastathopoulos
Macho
Our defense looked a little leaky, especially in the first half, but Zikos managed to provide enough cover to help keep a clean sheet. We missed some nice opportunities, like around the 22nd minute when Kallon fired a sitter right at the keeper and Edinho almost walked one in, but, like I said before, we won, its late in the season, and all that really matters now is results.

What is it with your players not respecting your coach?
Two weeks ago it was Rivaldo, now its Blanco……..

According to the radio, Demi went and gave the players a big speech about how if players treated coaches like that when he was younger, they were off the team berofre they knew it and he said he is not going to be accepting any more. Although, the coach said that this time, Blanco was disapointed with the way he played, not with the manager.

Yes that was the cover up Kostenoglou made up for him. Even if I don’t play well, I still respect my coach.
Rumor (and possibly true) that AEK is split into two groups. The Latino-Portuguese group and the Greek group. And from what we have seen, Ferrer favored the former and Kostenoglou favors the latter. It will be interesting to see if Demi is going to go for a Greek coach or a foreign coach. My guess is Demis may be making a trip to Larissa very soon.
